  • Identification of SI Joint Dysfunction Risk Factors​
    Any notable falls, missteps, awkward lifting or twisting of the pelvis over the course of your lifetime​
  • Discussion of previous fusion surgery involving the lumbar spine (lower back)​ and all treatments to date
  • Observation of uneven leg length, abnormal walking pattern or scoliosis​ Past pregnancy (female patients) ​
  • New onset of chronic Low Back Pain +/- trauma (possible auto accident) Temporal relationship to post-partum ​
  • Iliac crest bone graft​
  • Structural abnormalities, scoliosis, etc…
  • Inflammatory arthritis​
  • Review of any previous diagnostic imaging (MRI, CT and X-rays)

PAIN DIAGRAM

  • Pain in buttock and posterior thigh
  • Usually not midline
  • Usually below L5
  • At or lateral to PSIS
  • Occasional groin pain
  • Secondary pain in lateral thigh, groin, and/or lateral calf
